I Am Still The Same Football Club Hello, ? Some people call me The Irons, others call me The Hammers; My proper title is West Ham United Football Club. But whatever they call me, I am your Club, or as I proudly state ....the Greatest Football Club in the world. There is something that has been bothering me, so I thought I might talk it over with you.... because it's about you and me. I remember some time ago, It was back in May 1980, people were lined up on both sides of the street to watch the parade. The local band was behind me, and naturally, I was leading the parade. When your Father saw me holding the Trophy aloft, he removed his Claret & Blue hat and placed it against his left shoulder so that his right hand was...... - 2009-07-04

SSOCCER is truly FOOTBALL, and "football" in America is just a cheap pussy *** remake of rugby, what a pussy sport, they just added pads and gay rules.its because the americans always want to be different, they use farenheight, and inches and stuff. but if you havent noticed the mls is almost the worst league in the world, and the only reason the US is good @ football is because alot of the players are in the European league so they get better in those.callemasiseesem is absolutely right.Football is the name given to a number of different, but related, team sports. » What does Antistatic wrist strap do?

Do really need that everything i open my case and doing some work inside computer tower? It constantly grounds yourself so you can discharge the static in your body and keep it discharged. You don't really need it as long as you remember to discharge yourself before touching vital components. Static can fry computer components though if you aren't careful. It grounds your body for static electricity. That way, when you touch the computer parts, you dont shock the parts and ruin them. You dont really need one, just remember that before you touch any chips just touch the inside metal of the computer case and you should be fine. Also, its best if you dont work on your computer hardware when its on carpet. Carpet will raise your c...... - 2009-07-04

If I have a rar file split into 20 parts, can I know the filename of all the 20 parts by taking a look at the .rar file? No, you can know just the names of files in which are compressed and stored in that part of .rar (or .r0) and not all the files. The compressing in rar is done letter by letter. It's unnecessary to use RAR or ARJ for splitting alone since just binary splitting the files will work fine, and they can be reassemblied with cat or copy [source http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rar]...... - 2009-07-04

my son got prescription for both and seems too much to meYou are right! Tylenol is an NSAID, and so is ibuprofen. Combining the two would eventually cause liver damage. I don't need all the bells and whistles (AF etc) but would like something that I could expand on over time (rather than buying a TLR and then upgrading to a SLR later). Thanks.I'm in the same boat. Been shooting 35mm for years with digital just entering into the picture recently. I collect older pentax's and just could not pass up a chance to get my hands on a Pentax 645 with 72mm f2.8 lens when it was offered to me to sweeten a deal on several cameras. » Henri Cartier-Bresson "Eliminated"

I'd vote this one Photographic Discussions Thread of 2006. Someone posted a Cartier-Bresson's photo without naming it, later the photo was voted out of the competition pool! But the discussion ensued was what made it most interesting: Here's the link on flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/andrerabelo/70458366Really, I'm curious, to what extent the sharpness of a photo means to you personally in street photography?"Had Cartier-Bresson had the technology we do now he would have probably taken a completely different shot, especially knowing the audience he was shooting for." Good grief. I had to stop reading after I threw up in my mouth a little there. Heck, I enjoy Teru Kuwayama, Michael Ackerman, and Paul Himmel, so I certainl...... - 2009-07-04

» Why does tax withheld on the 08/09 tax tables start well above the tax free threshold of $6000?

This has myself and another bookkeeper stumped, we can't seem to find an answer. We even rang the ATO and the women couldn't tell us, although she said there must be a reason! For example, the weekly tax table shows that $190 per week is when an employee is above the tax free threshold - but $190 x 52 = $9880. Can someone explain? Thanks.maybe it has something to do with the low income tax offset found this info From 1 July this year, the Government will increase the 30 per cent marginal tax rate threshold so that the 15 per cent marginal tax rate will apply up to $34,000 of income, an increase in the threshold of $4,000. In addition, the Low Income Tax Offset will be increased from $750 to $1,200. It will continue to...... - 2009-07-04

» 7/27/06 DISC: WI and Surrounding Areas

Although not chasing, I have somewhat of a first hand account. Turns out tornado in Waukesha, WI was probably a bogus report but they still had a ton of damage. Before that cell pulsed up...a storm was parked on the lake breeze over me giving me about 2 hours of torrential downpours. Report of a funnel cloud directly to my east in Wauwatosa and in my area in Brookfield. Actually had the sirens blow for the first time in forever. Did not manage to glimpse any funnel cloud but those weren't the only reports of the day. My guess is the one in Waukesha was probably a brief funnel that didn't touch down since it was a public report. This was one of the most impressive "boomers" I've ever been in too. The CG show was amazing and there was almost ...... - 2009-07-04

» Strange sentence

Hey everyone, what do you think about this sentence. It's from last year's JLPT level 2 test: ˆãŽÒ‚ɂ͓ñAŽO“ú‚ÅŽ¡‚邯Œ¾‚í‚ꂽ‚ªA‚æ‚‚È‚é‚Æ‚±‚ë ‚©‚Ü‚·‚Ü‚·ˆ«‚‚È‚Á‚Ä‚«‚½B I'm pretty sure it means something like "The doctor said I'd be better in two days, but am I on the verge of getting better or am I going to get worse and worse?" That's the only way I'm understanding it but it seems a bit illogical if the doctor has just told him he's going to get better in two days, that'd wonder if he was going to get worse? Maybe he's worried that he'll get worse than he is now, then finally in 3 days get better. What do you think?I suggest doing a little investigation on the phrase ”どころか”. ...... - 2009-07-04

Miami Herald - Blind Eye: Research cuts stifle hurricane forecasts (http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/12861760.htm) This is a great read in the first part of a week-long series looking into the budget struggles that are handcuffing the NHC researchers to make progress in hurricane forecasting. Definitely illustrates NOAA's shortcomings and the need for other academia research institutes and the private sector to pick up the slack that the gov't doesn't care to solve anytime soon. A puzzling decision considering the economic catastrophies hurricanes have caused our country in recent years -- a trend that won't be letting up for the foreseeable future. » price difference in canon 100mm lenses?

I have a question about two lenses that are virtually identical. There is the Canon 100mm f/2.8 versus the 100mm f/2.0. I am looking to purchase these for portrait shooting mainly. My question is this concerns prices. On several websites ... the 100mm f/2.8 is $469.95 and ... the 100mm f/2.0 is $389.95. It was my general understanding that the faster the lens at the same focal length, the more expensive. These prices contradict that. The only difference in specs is that the 2.8 has groups/elements of 8/12 and the 2.0 has groups/elements of 6/8. Is this what is causing the faster lens to be cheaper? Thanks in advance! The f/2.8 is a macro lens, which means it can focus much closer than the 2.0. I suspect that's why it's more ...... - 2009-07-04

It's unimaginable... The explosion must have been huge... http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081204/ap_o...A supernova is impossibly unbelieveably powerful. A supernova can put out more light and energy in one second, than our sun can do over a thousand years. More even. The numbers involved are huge, vast, and staggering. The most powerful supernova radiated an inconceiveable 10^51 erg in just 70 days. Our sun does 3.86*10^33 erg a second. To put it another way, the supernova was putting out, every second, more than 1,000,000,000,000 (one trillion) times as much light as our sun. There are less than a trillion suns in our galaxy. » E85 has a higher octane then gasoline...?

Im doing a project, and i found out that E85 has a higher octane then gasoline. What does this mean? Is this a good thing? Can anyone explain this to me please?to top it off, not one car produced in Japan, Europe, or the US takes advantage of E85's higher octane. One reason is that there is no defined octane rating for E85, it can be anywhere from 90 to 98. Ethanol has a (RON+MON)/2 octane rating (USA standard measure of octane) of 100. In Europe they use RON only so its 108 Octane there.Octane is the rating that is given to different grades of fuel. The higher the octane the slower the fuel burns and the less it will pre-ignite or "Ping" . We use Methanol in our race car for fuel. Through some rather convoluted way, that started with doxx pics in NY, I saw that you can use tri-x @ 1600 with diafine developper. Is that the 400TX normal film or is it some other film? Seems like magic, being able to use TX@1600 with no grain increase. With Diafine almost all BW films get a 1 stop speed increase, although tabular grain films (Tmax and Delta) don't get quite that much. For some reason TriX (TX400) gets a 2 stop increase, according to the instructions included with the Diafine. My experience after a couple dozen rolls of TriX in Diafine is that negs shot at 1600 are just a bit thin. I have better results at ISO 1250. » MaxSelect Caulk Gun $ Reduction

I can get you screen shots if needed. Also when accessing the bookmark it plays it 10 seconds past where the bookmark was created.that's the resume point, not a bug. we put it there since it was a pain if you forgot to hit resume since you lost the opportunity...Whenever you "stop" a video, and automatic bookmark is created which is used as the "Resume" point.Great to know. Sorry thought it was a bug. But I understand why it's in there now. So, how about the video starting 10 seconds after the bookmark. I guess this is due to caching but couldn't there be a way to mark the s...... - 2009-07-04
